Russia’s Trade with Poland

In the 2nd quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Poland was $3,694,484,826, down 29.28% ($1,529,829,161) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Poland in the 2nd quarter of 2019 were $2,458,707,416, down 37.56% ($1,479,211,705) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Poland in the 2nd quarter of 2019 were $1,235,777,410, down 3.93% ($50,617,456) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with Poland in the 2nd quarter of 2019 was $1,222,930,006, a 53.88% decrease ($1,428,594,249) over the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Poland was Russia’s 13th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (down from 10th in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 2.3078% of Russia’s total trade (down from 3.0567% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

Poland was Russia’s 13th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (down from 8th in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 2.4401% of Russia’s total exports (down from 3.5733% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

Poland was Russia’s 11th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (just as in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 2.0831% of Russia’s total imports (down from 2.1190% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Exports to Poland

The major share of Russian exports to Poland in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 73.17% of Russia’s total exports to Poland (80.91% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 10.61% of Russia’s total exports to Poland (6.44% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);
