Russia’s Trade with the Philippines

In the 2nd quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with the Philippines was $196,549,132, down 34.46% ($103,351,454) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to the Philippines in the 2nd quarter of 2019 were $102,555,223, down 48.11% ($95,100,629) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from the Philippines in the 2nd quarter of 2019 were $93,993,909, down 8.07% ($8,250,825) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with the Philippines in the 2nd quarter of 2019 was $8,561,314, a 91.03% decrease ($86,849,804) over the 2nd quarter of 2018.

The Philippines was Russia’s 70th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (down from 65th in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.1228% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.1755% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

The Philippines was Russia’s 71st largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (down from 60th in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.1018% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.1794% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

The Philippines was Russia’s 62nd largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (down from 61st in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.1584% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.1684% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Exports to the Philippines

The major share of Russian exports to the Philippines in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 70.00% of Russia’s total exports to the Philippines (20.15% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 10.99% of Russia’s total exports to the Philippines (4.37% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);
  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 9.18% of Russia’s total exports to the Philippines (65.09% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 5.68% of Russia’s total exports to the Philippines (8.21% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $119,380,140;
  • Cereals (HS code 10) - a decrease of $10,912,699;
  • Nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances; parts thereof (HS code 84) - a decrease of $2,165,229.

Russia’s Imports from the Philippines

The major share of Russian imports from the Philippines in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:
