Russia’s Trade with Angola

In the 3rd quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Angola totaled $36,226,776, up 118.25% ($19,628,075) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Angola in the 3rd quarter of 2019 were $10,808,302, down 34.53% ($5,701,474) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Angola in the 3rd quarter of 2019 totaled $25,418,474, up 28,484.17% ($25,329,549) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade balance with Angola went from a surplus of $16,420,851 in the 3rd quarter of 2018, to a deficit of $14,610,172 in the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Angola was Russia’s 106th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (up from 128th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0218% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0096% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Angola was Russia’s 120th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 111th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0105% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.0147% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Angola was Russia’s 85th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (up from 148th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0406% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0001% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Exports to Angola

  • Miscellaneous edible preparations (HS code 21) - an increase of $1,245,306;
  • Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles (HS code 85) - an increase of $1,150,500;
  • Articles of iron or steel (HS code 73) - an increase of $36,266.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Angola in the 3rd quarter of 2019 over the 3rd quarter of 2018 were recorded for the following product groups:
