Russia’s Trade with Croatia

In the 3rd quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Croatia was $327,404,435, down 15.03% ($57,895,265) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Croatia in the 3rd quarter of 2019 were $281,086,222, down 14.71% ($48,493,206) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Croatia in the 3rd quarter of 2019 were $46,318,213, down 16.87% ($9,402,059) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with Croatia in the 3rd quarter of 2019 was $234,768,009, a 14.27% decrease ($39,091,147) over the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Croatia was Russia’s 61st largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 52nd in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.1974% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.2239% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Croatia was Russia’s 52nd largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 45th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.2720% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.2938% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Croatia was Russia’s 75th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 68th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0741% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0931% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Exports to Croatia

The major share of Russian exports to Croatia in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 89.84% of Russia’s total exports to Croatia (96.82% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 8.40% of Russia’s total exports to Croatia (1.30% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

The largest gains in Russia’s exports to Croatia in the 3rd quarter of 2019 over the 3rd quarter of 2018 were recorded for the following product groups:

Russia’s Imports from Croatia

The major share of Russian imports from Croatia in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 50.48% of Russia’s total imports from Croatia (46.69% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 19.48% of Russia’s total imports from Croatia (24.67% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);
  • Textiles, textile products and footwear (HS codes 50-67) - 13.29% of Russia’s total imports from Croatia (11.10% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 5.22% of Russia’s total imports from Croatia (8.25% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);

  • Articles of apparel and clothing accessories, not knitted or crocheted (HS code 62) - an increase of $296,165;
