Russia’s Trade with Hungary

In the 3rd quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Hungary was $1,606,702,089, down 16.79% ($324,114,610) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Hungary in the 3rd quarter of 2019 were $1,044,966,662, down 28.46% ($415,723,295) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Hungary in the 3rd quarter of 2019 totaled $561,735,427, up 19.49% ($91,608,685) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with Hungary in the 3rd quarter of 2019 was $483,231,235, a 51.22% decrease ($507,331,980) over the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Hungary was Russia’s 20th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (just as in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.9686% of Russia’s total trade (down from 1.1221% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Hungary was Russia’s 23rd largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 19th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 1.0114% of Russia’s total exports (down from 1.3019% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Hungary was Russia’s 23rd largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (up from 29th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.8981% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.7852% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Exports to Hungary

The major share of Russian exports to Hungary in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 92.08% of Russia’s total exports to Hungary (92.23% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 6.12% of Russia’s total exports to Hungary (5.52% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);
