Russia’s Trade with Jordan

In the 3rd quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Jordan was $141,828,050, down 40.59% ($96,882,975) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Jordan in the 3rd quarter of 2019 were $136,070,032, down 42.77% ($101,682,044) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Jordan in the 3rd quarter of 2019 totaled $5,758,018, up 500.45% ($4,799,069) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with Jordan in the 3rd quarter of 2019 was $130,312,014, a 44.97% decrease ($106,481,113) over the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Jordan was Russia’s 77th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 69th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0855% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.1387% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Jordan was Russia’s 67th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 53rd in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.1317% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.2119% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Jordan was Russia’s 105th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (up from 126th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0092% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0016% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Exports to Jordan

The major share of Russian exports to Jordan in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 9.87% of Russia’s total exports to Jordan (24.32% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 5.65% of Russia’s total exports to Jordan (10.99% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 4.90% of Russia’s total exports to Jordan (6.41% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);

  • Miscellaneous chemical products (HS code 38) - a decrease of $691,285;
  • Miscellaneous edible preparations (HS code 21) - a decrease of $557,301.
