Russia’s Trade with Kenya

In the 3rd quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Kenya was $91,240,450, down 15.38% ($16,583,964) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Kenya in the 3rd quarter of 2019 totaled $72,525,310, up 2.15% ($1,528,228) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Kenya in the 3rd quarter of 2019 were $18,715,140, down 49.18% ($18,112,192) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with Kenya in the 3rd quarter of 2019 was $53,810,170, a 57.48% increase ($19,640,420) over the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Kenya was Russia’s 85th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 84th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0550% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.0627% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Kenya was Russia’s 82nd largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (up from 83rd in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0702% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0633% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Kenya was Russia’s 88th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 80th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0299% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0615% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Kenya in the 3rd quarter of 2019 over the 3rd quarter of 2018 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Cereals (HS code 10) - a decrease of $2,672,763;
