Russia’s Trade with Kuwait

In the 3rd quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Kuwait was $61,420,506, down 66.98% ($124,563,788) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Kuwait in the 3rd quarter of 2019 were $61,087,040, down 67.14% ($124,835,018) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Kuwait in the 3rd quarter of 2019 totaled $333,466, up 435.81% ($271,230) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with Kuwait in the 3rd quarter of 2019 was $60,753,574, a 67.31% decrease ($125,106,248) over the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Kuwait was Russia’s 99th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 76th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0370% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.1081% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Kuwait was Russia’s 87th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 64th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0591% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.1657% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Kuwait was Russia’s 143rd largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (up from 153rd in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0005% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0001% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Exports to Kuwait

The major share of Russian exports to Kuwait in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 95.06% of Russia’s total exports to Kuwait (93.60% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 1.94% of Russia’s total exports to Kuwait (0.62% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 1.82% of Russia’s total exports to Kuwait (1.83% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);

  • Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles (HS code 85) - a decrease of $305,875;
  • Miscellaneous chemical products (HS code 38) - a decrease of $278,003;
  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $246,606;
  • Articles of iron or steel (HS code 73) - a decrease of $232,818.
