Russia’s Trade with Mongolia
In the 3rd quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Mongolia totaled $435,172,461, up 15.74% ($59,171,629) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.
Russia’s exports to Mongolia in the 3rd quarter of 2019 totaled $427,900,684, up 17.12% ($62,550,502) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.
Russia’s imports from Mongolia in the 3rd quarter of 2019 were $7,271,777, down 31.72% ($3,378,873) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.
Russia’s trade surplus with Mongolia in the 3rd quarter of 2019 was $420,628,907, a 18.59% increase ($65,929,375) over the 3rd quarter of 2018.
Mongolia was Russia’s 55th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 53rd in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.2624% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.2185% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).
Mongolia was Russia’s 41st largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (up from 44th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.4141% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.3256% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).
Mongolia was Russia’s 101st largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 95th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0116% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0178% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).
Russia’s Exports to Mongolia
The major share of Russian exports to Mongolia in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 63.78% of Russia’s total exports to Mongolia (64.61% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 9.15% of Russia’s total exports to Mongolia (10.13% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);
- Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 9.15% of Russia’s total exports to Mongolia (7.43% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 7.65% of Russia’s total exports to Mongolia (7.81% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);
