Russia’s Trade with Paraguay

In the 3rd quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Paraguay was $173,815,930, down 24.32% ($55,849,384) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Paraguay in the 3rd quarter of 2019 were $2,810,473, down 42.16% ($2,048,342) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Paraguay in the 3rd quarter of 2019 were $171,005,457, down 23.93% ($53,801,042) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade deficit with Paraguay in the 3rd quarter of 2019 was $168,194,984, a 23.53% decrease ($51,752,700) over the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Paraguay was Russia’s 73rd largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 71st in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.1048% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.1335% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Paraguay was Russia’s 150th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 134th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0027% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.0043% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Paraguay was Russia’s 45th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 42nd in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.2734% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.3755% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Exports to Paraguay

The major share of Russian exports to Paraguay in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Paraguay in the 3rd quarter of 2019 over the 3rd quarter of 2018 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Fertilizers (HS code 31) - a decrease of $3,623,893;
  • Aluminum and articles thereof (HS code 76) - a decrease of $433,567;
  • Wood and articles of wood; wood charcoal (HS code 44) - a decrease of $75,286;
  • Glass and glassware (HS code 70) - a decrease of $71,087;
  • Organic chemicals (HS code 29) - a decrease of $45,180;
  • Miscellaneous chemical products (HS code 38) - a decrease of $22,287;
  • Beverages, spirits and vinegar (HS code 22) - a decrease of $19,558;
  • Inorganic chemicals; organic or inorganic compounds of precious metals, of rare-earth metals,of radioactive elements or of isotopes (HS code 28) - a decrease of $16,972.
