Russia’s Trade with Peru

In the 3rd quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Peru was $130,709,471, down 31.20% ($59,265,870) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Peru in the 3rd quarter of 2019 were $91,640,441, down 33.65% ($46,478,820) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Peru in the 3rd quarter of 2019 were $39,069,030, down 24.66% ($12,787,050) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with Peru in the 3rd quarter of 2019 was $52,571,411, a 39.06% decrease ($33,691,770) over the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Peru was Russia’s 79th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 75th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0788% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.1104% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Peru was Russia’s 78th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 72nd in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0887% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.1231% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Peru was Russia’s 78th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 69th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0625% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0866% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Exports to Peru

The major share of Russian exports to Peru in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 39.06% of Russia’s total exports to Peru (16.20% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 29.01% of Russia’s total exports to Peru (29.53% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);
  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 13.86% of Russia’s total exports to Peru (9.51% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);

  • Fertilizers (HS code 31) - an increase of $15,067,988;

  • Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles (HS code 85) - a decrease of $2,959,859;

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 6.27% of Russia’s total imports from Peru (6.05% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 5.29% of Russia’s total imports from Peru (0.11% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);
