Russia’s Trade with the Dominican Republic

In the 3rd quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with the Dominican Republic totaled $32,223,507, up 10.91% ($3,170,997) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to the Dominican Republic in the 3rd quarter of 2019 totaled $25,545,277, up 13.47% ($3,032,364) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from the Dominican Republic in the 3rd quarter of 2019 totaled $6,678,230, up 2.12% ($138,633) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with the Dominican Republic in the 3rd quarter of 2019 was $18,867,047, a 18.12% increase ($2,893,731) over the 3rd quarter of 2018.

The Dominican Republic was Russia’s 112th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (up from 116th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0194% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0169% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

The Dominican Republic was Russia’s 107th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 105th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0247% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0201% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

The Dominican Republic was Russia’s 103rd largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 101st in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0107% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0109% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

  • Articles of stone, plaster, cement, asbestos, mica or similar materials (HS code 68) - an increase of $81,203.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to the Dominican Republic in the 3rd quarter of 2019 over the 3rd quarter of 2018 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Fertilizers (HS code 31) - a decrease of $4,472,642;
  • Iron and steel (HS code 72) - a decrease of $3,482,797;
  • Paper and paperboard; articles of paper pulp, of paper or of paperboard (HS code 48) - a decrease of $163,673;
  • Organic chemicals (HS code 29) - a decrease of $158,295;
  • Wood and articles of wood; wood charcoal (HS code 44) - a decrease of $80,023.

Russia’s Imports from the Dominican Republic

The major share of Russian imports from the Dominican Republic in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:
