Russia’s Trade with Tunisia

In the 3rd quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Tunisia was $133,960,663, down 41.36% ($94,487,062) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Tunisia in the 3rd quarter of 2019 were $95,121,103, down 51.03% ($99,113,846) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Tunisia in the 3rd quarter of 2019 totaled $38,839,560, up 13.52% ($4,626,784) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with Tunisia in the 3rd quarter of 2019 was $56,281,543, a 64.83% decrease ($103,740,630) over the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Tunisia was Russia’s 78th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 72nd in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0808% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.1328% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Tunisia was Russia’s 77th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 62nd in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0921% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.1731% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Tunisia was Russia’s 80th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (up from 81st in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0621% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0571% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Exports to Tunisia

The major share of Russian exports to Tunisia in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 18.39% of Russia’s total exports to Tunisia (31.04% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);

  • Iron and steel (HS code 72) - a decrease of $39,848,602;
