In 2019, Russia’s trade was $666,558 million, down 3.13% ($21,557 million) from 2018.
Russia’s exports in 2019 were $422,777 million, down 6.04% ($27,187 million) from 2018.
Russia’s imports in 2019 totaled $243,781 million, up 2.36% ($5,629 million) from 2018.
Russia’s trade surplus in 2019 was $178,997 million, a 15.49% decrease ($32,816 million) over 2018.
Russia’s Exports
The major share of Russian exports in 2019 (and in 2018) was accounted for the following product types:
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 63.33% of Russia’s total exports (64.79% in 2018);
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 8.87% of Russia’s total exports (9.88% in 2018);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 6.39% of Russia’s total exports (6.09% in 2018);
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 5.85% of Russia’s total exports (5.53% in 2018);
