Russia’s Trade with Jordan
In the 4th quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Jordan was $141,980,862, down 32.87% ($69,512,439) from the 4th quarter of 2018.
Russia’s exports to Jordan in the 4th quarter of 2019 were $126,282,512, down 39.90% ($83,851,759) from the 4th quarter of 2018.
Russia’s imports from Jordan in the 4th quarter of 2019 totaled $15,698,350, up 1,055.11% ($14,339,320) from the 4th quarter of 2018.
Russia’s trade surplus with Jordan in the 4th quarter of 2019 was $110,584,162, a 47.03% decrease ($98,191,079) over the 4th quarter of 2018.
Jordan was Russia’s 79th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2019 (down from 72nd in the 4th quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0789% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.1132% in the 4th quarter of 2018).
Jordan was Russia’s 68th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2019 (down from 64th in the 4th quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.1129% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.1688% in the 4th quarter of 2018).
Jordan was Russia’s 93rd largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2019 (up from 126th in the 4th quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0231% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0022% in the 4th quarter of 2018).
Russia’s Exports to Jordan
The major share of Russian exports to Jordan in the 4th quarter of 2019 (and in the 4th quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 13.15% of Russia’s total exports to Jordan (21.96% in the 4th quarter of 2018);
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 7.49% of Russia’s total exports to Jordan (11.76% in the 4th quarter of 2018);
- Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 2.10% of Russia’s total exports to Jordan (21.74% in the 4th quarter of 2018);

- Vehicles other than railway or tramway rolling stock, and parts and accessories thereof (HS code 87) - an increase of $1,809,370;
- Miscellaneous chemical products (HS code 38) - an increase of $899,804;
- Edible vegetables and certain roots and tubers (HS code 07) - an increase of $541,517;
- Animal or vegetable fats and oils and their cleavage products prepared edible fats; animal or vegetable waxes (HS code 15) - an increase of $499,458.
The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Jordan in the 4th quarter of 2019 over the 4th quarter of 2018 were recorded for the following product groups:

- Articles of iron or steel (HS code 73) - a decrease of $1,505,397;

- Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $850,540;
- Furniture; bedding, mattresses, mattress supports, cushions and similar stuffed furnishings; lamps and lighting fittings, not elsewhere specified or included; illuminated sign illuminated nameplates and the like; prefabricated buildings (HS code 94) - a decrease of $767,384;
