Russia’s Trade with Nicaragua

In the 4th quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Nicaragua was $16,183,333, down 29.28% ($6,700,249) from the 4th quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Nicaragua in the 4th quarter of 2019 were $11,364,068, down 42.47% ($8,388,072) from the 4th quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Nicaragua in the 4th quarter of 2019 totaled $4,819,265, up 53.90% ($1,687,823) from the 4th quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with Nicaragua in the 4th quarter of 2019 was $6,544,803, a 60.62% decrease ($10,075,895) over the 4th quarter of 2018.

Nicaragua was Russia’s 123rd largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2019 (up from 124th in the 4th quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0090% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.0122% in the 4th quarter of 2018).

Nicaragua was Russia’s 114th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2019 (down from 112th in the 4th quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0102% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.0159% in the 4th quarter of 2018).

Nicaragua was Russia’s 112th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2019 (up from 118th in the 4th quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0071% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0050% in the 4th quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Exports to Nicaragua

The major share of Russian exports to Nicaragua in the 4th quarter of 2019 (and in the 4th quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

Russia’s Imports from Nicaragua

The major share of Russian imports from Nicaragua in the 4th quarter of 2019 (and in the 4th quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 96.73% of Russia’s total imports from Nicaragua (94.77% in the 4th quarter of 2018);
  • Textiles, textile products and footwear (HS codes 50-67) - 2.14% of Russia’s total imports from Nicaragua (5.01% in the 4th quarter of 2018);
