Russia’s Trade with the Czech Republic

In the 4th quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with the Czech Republic was $2,328,023,563, down 2.54% ($60,623,288) from the 4th quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to the Czech Republic in the 4th quarter of 2019 were $1,226,902,588, down 9.21% ($124,444,084) from the 4th quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from the Czech Republic in the 4th quarter of 2019 totaled $1,101,120,975, up 6.15% ($63,820,796) from the 4th quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with the Czech Republic in the 4th quarter of 2019 was $125,781,613, a 59.95% decrease ($188,264,880) over the 4th quarter of 2018.

The Czech Republic was Russia’s 17th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2019 (up from 20th in the 4th quarter of 2018), accounting for 1.2943% of Russia’s total trade (up from 1.2785% in the 4th quarter of 2018).

The Czech Republic was Russia’s 20th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2019 (just as in the 4th quarter of 2018), accounting for 1.0970% of Russia’s total exports (up from 1.0855% in the 4th quarter of 2018).

The Czech Republic was Russia’s 16th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2019 (down from 14th in the 4th quarter of 2018), accounting for 1.6186% of Russia’s total imports (down from 1.6638% in the 4th quarter of 2018).

The major share of Russian exports to the Czech Republic in the 4th quarter of 2019 (and in the 4th quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 8.42% of Russia’s total exports to the Czech Republic (3.63% in the 4th quarter of 2018);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 6.07% of Russia’s total exports to the Czech Republic (11.13% in the 4th quarter of 2018);
