Russia’s Trade with the Netherlands

In the 4th quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with the Netherlands was $11,528,179,071, down 14.53% ($1,959,170,171) from the 4th quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to the Netherlands in the 4th quarter of 2019 were $10,314,347,394, down 17.81% ($2,234,407,496) from the 4th quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from the Netherlands in the 4th quarter of 2019 totaled $1,213,831,677, up 29.32% ($275,237,325) from the 4th quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with the Netherlands in the 4th quarter of 2019 was $9,100,515,717, a 21.62% decrease ($2,509,644,821) over the 4th quarter of 2018.

The Netherlands was Russia’s 3rd largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2019 (just as in the 4th quarter of 2018), accounting for 6.4092% of Russia’s total trade (down from 7.2188% in the 4th quarter of 2018).

The Netherlands was Russia’s 2nd largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2019 (just as in the 4th quarter of 2018), accounting for 9.2223% of Russia’s total exports (down from 10.0799% in the 4th quarter of 2018).

The Netherlands was Russia’s 12th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2019 (up from 15th in the 4th quarter of 2018), accounting for 1.7843% of Russia’s total imports (up from 1.5055% in the 4th quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Exports to the Netherlands

The major share of Russian exports to the Netherlands in the 4th quarter of 2019 (and in the 4th quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 81.58% of Russia’s total exports to the Netherlands (82.96% in the 4th quarter of 2018);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 11.25% of Russia’s total exports to the Netherlands (10.37% in the 4th quarter of 2018);
