Russia’s Trade with Uruguay

In the 4th quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Uruguay was $55,307,204, down 12.55% ($7,934,341) from the 4th quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Uruguay in the 4th quarter of 2019 were $2,471,047, down 69.85% ($5,724,693) from the 4th quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Uruguay in the 4th quarter of 2019 were $52,836,157, down 4.01% ($2,209,648) from the 4th quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade deficit with Uruguay in the 4th quarter of 2019 was $50,365,110, a 7.50% increase ($3,515,045) over the 4th quarter of 2018.

Uruguay was Russia’s 97th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2019 (up from 100th in the 4th quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0307% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.0338% in the 4th quarter of 2018).

Uruguay was Russia’s 136th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2019 (down from 128th in the 4th quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0022% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.0066% in the 4th quarter of 2018).

Uruguay was Russia’s 77th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2019 (down from 74th in the 4th quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0777% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0883% in the 4th quarter of 2018).

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Uruguay in the 4th quarter of 2019 over the 4th quarter of 2018 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Fertilizers (HS code 31) - a decrease of $6,064,430;
  • Inorganic chemicals; organic or inorganic compounds of precious metals, of rare-earth metals,of radioactive elements or of isotopes (HS code 28) - a decrease of $758,868;
  • Salt; sulfur; earths and stone; plastering materials, lime and cement (HS code 25) - a decrease of $251,135;
  • Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles (HS code 85) - a decrease of $119,553;
  • Organic chemicals (HS code 29) - a decrease of $55,879;
  • Wood and articles of wood; wood charcoal (HS code 44) - a decrease of $24,265.

Russia’s Imports from Uruguay

The major share of Russian imports from Uruguay in the 4th quarter of 2019 (and in the 4th quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:
