In 2019, Russia’s trade with Cyprus was $786,497,881, down 1.50% ($11,974,772) from 2018.

Russia’s exports to Cyprus in 2019 were $764,625,673, down 2.78% ($21,863,140) from 2018.

Russia’s imports from Cyprus in 2019 totaled $21,872,208, up 82.51% ($9,888,368) from 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with Cyprus in 2019 was $742,753,465, a 4.10% decrease ($31,751,508) over 2018.

Cyprus was Russia’s 72nd largest trading partner in 2019 (up from 73rd in 2018), accounting for 0.1180% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.1160% in 2018).

Cyprus was Russia’s 61st largest export market in 2019 (down from 60th in 2018), accounting for 0.1809% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.1748% in 2018).

Cyprus was Russia’s 109th largest supplier in 2019 (up from 117th in 2018), accounting for 0.0090% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0050% in 2018).

Russia’s Exports to Cyprus

The major share of Russian exports to Cyprus in 2019 (and in 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 81.57% of Russia’s total exports to Cyprus (63.15% in 2018);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 5.47% of Russia’s total exports to Cyprus (0.70% in 2018);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 4.10% of Russia’s total exports to Cyprus (4.19% in 2018);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 3.23% of Russia’s total exports to Cyprus (4.41% in 2018);

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Cyprus in 2019 over 2018 were recorded for the following product groups:
