In 2019, Russia’s trade with Portugal was $1,252,652,742, down 13.14% ($189,569,336) from 2018.

Russia’s exports to Portugal in 2019 were $709,432,786, down 21.75% ($197,233,150) from 2018.

Russia’s imports from Portugal in 2019 totaled $543,219,956, up 1.43% ($7,663,814) from 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with Portugal in 2019 was $166,212,830, a 55.21% decrease ($204,896,964) over 2018.

Portugal was Russia’s 64th largest trading partner in 2019 (down from 58th in 2018), accounting for 0.1879% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.2096% in 2018).

Portugal was Russia’s 63rd largest export market in 2019 (down from 56th in 2018), accounting for 0.1678% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.2015% in 2018).

Portugal was Russia’s 52nd largest supplier in 2019 (up from 53rd in 2018), accounting for 0.2228% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.2249% in 2018).

The major share of Russian exports to Portugal in 2019 (and in 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 85.12% of Russia’s total exports to Portugal (81.13% in 2018);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 5.04% of Russia’s total exports to Portugal (3.81% in 2018);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 4.73% of Russia’s total exports to Portugal (9.69% in 2018);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 3.54% of Russia’s total exports to Portugal (3.23% in 2018);
