Russia’s Trade with Egypt

In the 1st quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Egypt was $1,047,603,295, down 43.89% ($819,496,936) from the 1st quarter of 2019.

Russia’s exports to Egypt in the 1st quarter of 2020 were $866,907,493, down 49.27% ($841,871,668) from the 1st quarter of 2019.

Russia’s imports from Egypt in the 1st quarter of 2020 totaled $180,695,802, up 14.13% ($22,374,732) from the 1st quarter of 2019.

Russia’s trade surplus with Egypt in the 1st quarter of 2020 was $686,211,691, a 55.74% decrease ($864,246,400) over the 1st quarter of 2019.

Egypt was Russia’s 28th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2020 (down from 20th in the 1st quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.7370% of Russia’s total trade (down from 1.1860% in the 1st quarter of 2019).

Egypt was Russia’s 24th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2020 (down from 17th in the 1st quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.9743% of Russia’s total exports (down from 1.6370% in the 1st quarter of 2019).

Egypt was Russia’s 45th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2020 (up from 46th in the 1st quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.3399% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.2985% in the 1st quarter of 2019).

Russia’s Exports to Egypt

The major share of Russian exports to Egypt in the 1st quarter of 2020 (and in the 1st quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 12.95% of Russia’s total exports to Egypt (4.83% in the 1st quarter of 2019);
