Russia’s Trade with Saudi Arabia
In the 1st quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Saudi Arabia was $319,661,433, down 23.97% ($100,752,357) from the 1st quarter of 2019.
Russia’s exports to Saudi Arabia in the 1st quarter of 2020 were $269,961,270, down 25.45% ($92,161,565) from the 1st quarter of 2019.
Russia’s imports from Saudi Arabia in the 1st quarter of 2020 were $49,700,163, down 14.74% ($8,590,792) from the 1st quarter of 2019.
Russia’s trade surplus with Saudi Arabia in the 1st quarter of 2020 was $220,261,107, a 27.51% decrease ($83,570,773) over the 1st quarter of 2019.
Saudi Arabia was Russia’s 59th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2020 (down from 53rd in the 1st quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.2249% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.2671% in the 1st quarter of 2019).
Saudi Arabia was Russia’s 50th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2020 (down from 46th in the 1st quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.3034% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.3469% in the 1st quarter of 2019).
Saudi Arabia was Russia’s 72nd largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2020 (down from 68th in the 1st quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0935% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.1099% in the 1st quarter of 2019).
Russia’s Exports to Saudi Arabia
The major share of Russian exports to Saudi Arabia in the 1st quarter of 2020 (and in the 1st quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:

- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 31.53% of Russia’s total exports to Saudi Arabia (19.86% in the 1st quarter of 2019);
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 13.25% of Russia’s total exports to Saudi Arabia (4.89% in the 1st quarter of 2019);
