The major trading partners of Russia in Asia in the 2nd quarter of 2020:

The top ten Russia’s trade partners in Asia in the 2nd quarter of 2020 were China (19.2507% of Russia’s total foreign trade), South Korea (3.5554%), Kazakhstan (3.4495%), Turkey (3.2792%), Japan (3.1570%), India (1.4073%), Uzbekistan (1.1728%), Vietnam (0.9891%), Taiwan (0.9452%), and Hong Kong (0.6449%);

The top ten Russia’s export markets in Asia in the 2nd quarter of 2020 were China (15.2503% of Russia’s total exports), Kazakhstan (4.5194%), Turkey (4.3183%), South Korea (4.1435%), Japan (3.1721%), Uzbekistan (1.6550%), India (1.5022%), Taiwan (1.0852%), Hong Kong (0.9688%), and Azerbaijan (0.6572%);

The top ten Russia’s import suppliers from Asia in the 2nd quarter of 2020 were China (24.6205% of Russia’s total imports), Japan (3.1368%), South Korea (2.7661%), Kazakhstan (2.0133%), Turkey (1.8844%), Vietnam (1.5146%), India (1.2800%), Indonesia (0.7761%), Taiwan (0.7573%), and Thailand (0.5879%).

The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of Asia in the 2nd quarter of 2020 over the 2nd quarter of 2019:

  • The share of Kazakhstan in Russia’s total exports rose from 3.3892% in the 2nd quarter of the 2019 to 4.5194% in the 2nd quarter of the 2020;
  • The share of India in Russia’s total exports declined from 1.9113% in the 2nd quarter of the 2019 to 1.5022% in the 2nd quarter of the 2020;
  • The share of Uzbekistan in Russia’s total exports rose from 0.9150% in the 2nd quarter of the 2019 to 1.6550% in the 2nd quarter of the 2020;
  • The share of Singapore in Russia’s total exports declined 2.2-fold from 0.6678% in the 2nd quarter of the 2019 to 0.3010% in the 2nd quarter of the 2020;
  • The share of Hong Kong in Russia’s total exports rose 3.9-fold from 0.2461% in the 2nd quarter of the 2019 to 0.9688% in the 2nd quarter of the 2020;
  • The share of Iraq in Russia’s total exports declined 4.7-fold from 0.1551% in the 2nd quarter of the 2019 to 0.0327% in the 2nd quarter of the 2020;
  • The share of Saudi Arabia in Russia’s total exports rose 3.9-fold from 0.1541% in the 2nd quarter of the 2019 to 0.6052% in the 2nd quarter of the 2020;
  • The share of Kuwait in Russia’s total exports rose 3.0-fold from 0.1182% in the 2nd quarter of the 2019 to 0.3580% in the 2nd quarter of the 2020;
  • The share of China in Russia’s total imports rose from 20.4082% in the 2nd quarter of the 2019 to 24.6205% in the 2nd quarter of the 2020;
  • The share of Japan in Russia’s total imports declined from 3.9267% in the 2nd quarter of the 2019 to 3.1368% in the 2nd quarter of the 2020;
  • The share of South Korea in Russia’s total imports declined from 3.4984% in the 2nd quarter of the 2019 to 2.7661% in the 2nd quarter of the 2020;
  • The share of India in Russia’s total imports declined from 1.5559% in the 2nd quarter of the 2019 to 1.2800% in the 2nd quarter of the 2020;
  • The share of Kyrgyzstan in Russia’s total imports declined from 0.1579% in the 2nd quarter of the 2019 to 0.0827% in the 2nd quarter of the 2020;
  • The share of Turkmenistan in Russia’s total imports rose 6.1-fold from 0.0686% in the 2nd quarter of the 2019 to 0.4183% in the 2nd quarter of the 2020.
