Russia’s Trade with Croatia
In the 2nd quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Croatia was $304,232,708, down 2.27% ($7,078,037) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s exports to Croatia in the 2nd quarter of 2020 were $246,963,858, down 9.04% ($24,541,107) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s imports from Croatia in the 2nd quarter of 2020 totaled $57,268,850, up 43.87% ($17,463,070) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s trade surplus with Croatia in the 2nd quarter of 2020 was $189,695,008, a 18.13% decrease ($42,004,177) over the 2nd quarter of 2019.
Croatia was Russia’s 60th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (up from 62nd in the 2nd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.2494% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.1945% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).
Croatia was Russia’s 50th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (up from 51st in the 2nd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.3532% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.2694% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).
Croatia was Russia’s 68th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (up from 77th in the 2nd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.1099% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0671% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).
Russia’s Exports to Croatia
The major share of Russian exports to Croatia in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 87.65% of Russia’s total exports to Croatia (83.23% in the 2nd quarter of 2019);
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 8.71% of Russia’s total exports to Croatia (13.63% in the 2nd quarter of 2019);
- Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 1.50% of Russia’s total exports to Croatia (0.72% in the 2nd quarter of 2019);
- Textiles, textile products and footwear (HS codes 50-67) - 1.00% of Russia’s total exports to Croatia (1.08% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).
The largest gains in Russia’s exports to Croatia in the 2nd quarter of 2020 over the 2nd quarter of 2019 were recorded for the following product groups:

- Copper and articles thereof (HS code 74) - an increase of $1,535,562.
