Russia’s Trade with Germany

In the 2nd quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Germany was $8,333,338,384, down 26.19% ($2,956,406,530) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s exports to Germany in the 2nd quarter of 2020 were $3,130,614,035, down 38.21% ($1,935,873,438) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s imports from Germany in the 2nd quarter of 2020 were $5,202,724,349, down 16.40% ($1,020,533,092) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s trade deficit with Germany in the 2nd quarter of 2020 was $2,072,110,314, a 79.13% increase ($915,340,346) over the 2nd quarter of 2019.

Germany was Russia’s 2nd largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (up from 3rd in the 2nd quarter of 2019), accounting for 6.8302% of Russia’s total trade (down from 7.0522% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).

Germany was Russia’s 6th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (down from 3rd in the 2nd quarter of 2019), accounting for 4.4775% of Russia’s total exports (down from 5.0281% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).

Germany was Russia’s 2nd largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (just as in the 2nd quarter of 2019), accounting for 9.9883% of Russia’s total imports (down from 10.4903% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).

Russia’s Exports to Germany

The major share of Russian exports to Germany in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:
