Russia’s Trade with Honduras

In the 2nd quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Honduras was $21,661,812, down 1.69% ($371,536) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s exports to Honduras in the 2nd quarter of 2020 were $14,238,277, down 4.63% ($690,608) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s imports from Honduras in the 2nd quarter of 2020 totaled $7,423,535, up 4.49% ($319,072) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s trade surplus with Honduras in the 2nd quarter of 2020 was $6,814,742, a 12.90% decrease ($1,009,680) over the 2nd quarter of 2019.

Honduras was Russia’s 116th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (up from 117th in the 2nd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0178% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0138% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).

Honduras was Russia’s 111th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (down from 108th in the 2nd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0204% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0148% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).

Honduras was Russia’s 99th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (up from 103rd in the 2nd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0143% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0120% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).

Russia’s Exports to Honduras

The major share of Russian exports to Honduras in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 55.42% of Russia’s total exports to Honduras (29.50% in the 2nd quarter of 2019);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 40.92% of Russia’s total exports to Honduras (63.01% in the 2nd quarter of 2019);

  • Wood and articles of wood; wood charcoal (HS code 44) - an increase of $123,514;
  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - an increase of $110,425;
  • Nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances; parts thereof (HS code 84) - an increase of $63,056.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Honduras in the 2nd quarter of 2020 over the 2nd quarter of 2019 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Iron and steel (HS code 72) - a decrease of $3,930,997;
  • Paper and paperboard; articles of paper pulp, of paper or of paperboard (HS code 48) - a decrease of $869,970;
  • Inorganic chemicals; organic or inorganic compounds of precious metals, of rare-earth metals,of radioactive elements or of isotopes (HS code 28) - a decrease of $404,067.

Russia’s Imports from Honduras
