In the 2nd quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Papua New Guinea totaled $2,126,976, up 89.29% ($1,003,317) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s exports to Papua New Guinea in the 2nd quarter of 2020 totaled $591,744, up 202.32% ($396,009) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s imports from Papua New Guinea in the 2nd quarter of 2020 totaled $1,535,232, up 65.45% ($607,308) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s trade deficit with Papua New Guinea in the 2nd quarter of 2020 was $943,488, a 28.86% increase ($211,299) over the 2nd quarter of 2019.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Papua New Guinea in the 2nd quarter of 2020 over the 2nd quarter of 2019 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances; parts thereof (HS code 84) - a decrease of $68,060;
  • Optical, photographic, cinematographic, measuring, checking, precision, medical or surgical instruments and apparatus; parts and accessories thereof (HS code 90) - a decrease of $5,135.
