Russia’s Trade with Portugal
In the 2nd quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Portugal was $159,232,277, down 64.24% ($286,039,324) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s exports to Portugal in the 2nd quarter of 2020 were $51,623,500, down 84.11% ($273,325,277) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s imports from Portugal in the 2nd quarter of 2020 were $107,608,777, down 10.57% ($12,714,047) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s trade balance with Portugal went from a surplus of $204,625,953 in the 2nd quarter of 2019, to a deficit of $55,985,277 in the 2nd quarter of 2020.
Portugal was Russia’s 72nd largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (down from 52nd in the 2nd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.1305% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.2781% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).

Russia’s Exports to Portugal
The major share of Russian exports to Portugal in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 59.98% of Russia’s total exports to Portugal (90.45% in the 2nd quarter of 2019);
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 19.12% of Russia’s total exports to Portugal (4.94% in the 2nd quarter of 2019);
