Russia’s Trade with Switzerland
In the 2nd quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Switzerland was $1,312,751,741, down 21.77% ($365,397,370) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s exports to Switzerland in the 2nd quarter of 2020 were $730,368,530, down 33.39% ($366,041,843) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s imports from Switzerland in the 2nd quarter of 2020 totaled $582,383,211, up 0.11% ($644,473) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s trade surplus with Switzerland in the 2nd quarter of 2020 was $147,985,319, a 71.25% decrease ($366,686,316) over the 2nd quarter of 2019.
Switzerland was Russia’s 19th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (just as in the 2nd quarter of 2019), accounting for 1.0760% of Russia’s total trade (up from 1.0483% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).
Switzerland was Russia’s 20th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (up from 22nd in the 2nd quarter of 2019), accounting for 1.0446% of Russia’s total exports (down from 1.0881% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).
Switzerland was Russia’s 20th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (up from 23rd in the 2nd quarter of 2019), accounting for 1.1181% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.9806% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).
Russia’s Exports to Switzerland
The major share of Russian exports to Switzerland in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:
- Precious metals and stones (HS code 71) - 63.03% of Russia’s total exports to Switzerland (5.52% in the 2nd quarter of 2019);
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 12.63% of Russia’s total exports to Switzerland (42.82% in the 2nd quarter of 2019);
