Russia’s Trade with Georgia

In the 3rd quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Georgia was $319,149,001, down 3.05% ($10,037,358) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s exports to Georgia in the 3rd quarter of 2020 were $204,989,866, down 9.49% ($21,482,299) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s imports from Georgia in the 3rd quarter of 2020 totaled $114,159,135, up 11.14% ($11,444,941) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s trade surplus with Georgia in the 3rd quarter of 2020 was $90,830,731, a 26.61% decrease ($32,927,240) over the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Georgia was Russia’s 56th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (up from 60th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.2337% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.1985% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Georgia was Russia’s 52nd largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (up from 58th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.2606% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.2192% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Georgia was Russia’s 57th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (up from 58th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.1971% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.1642% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

The major share of Russian exports to Georgia in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 21.24% of Russia’s total exports to Georgia (29.70% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
