Russia’s Trade with Honduras

In the 3rd quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Honduras was $15,909,639, down 8.06% ($1,394,461) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s exports to Honduras in the 3rd quarter of 2020 totaled $13,947,561, up 20.59% ($2,381,544) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s imports from Honduras in the 3rd quarter of 2020 were $1,962,078, down 65.81% ($3,776,005) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s trade surplus with Honduras in the 3rd quarter of 2020 was $11,985,483, a 105.66% increase ($6,157,549) over the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Honduras was Russia’s 128th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (up from 136th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0116% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0104% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Honduras was Russia’s 112th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (up from 119th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0177% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0112% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Honduras was Russia’s 121st largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (down from 106th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0034% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0092% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Russia’s Exports to Honduras

  • Nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances; parts thereof (HS code 84) - an increase of $792,908;
  • Inorganic chemicals; organic or inorganic compounds of precious metals, of rare-earth metals,of radioactive elements or of isotopes (HS code 28) - an increase of $555,820.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Honduras in the 3rd quarter of 2020 over the 3rd quarter of 2019 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Iron and steel (HS code 72) - a decrease of $3,955,409;
  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $393,298;

  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 87.46% of Russia’s total imports from Honduras (94.34% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
  • Textiles, textile products and footwear (HS codes 50-67) - 8.33% of Russia’s total imports from Honduras (5.15% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 3.11% of Russia’s total imports from Honduras (0.06% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);

  • Edible vegetables and certain roots and tubers (HS code 07) - an increase of $6,103.

The largest declines in Russia’s imports from Honduras in the 3rd quarter of 2020 over the 3rd quarter of 2019 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Coffee, tea, maté and spices (HS code 09) - a decrease of $3,736,511;
  • Other made up textile articles; sets; worn clothing and worn textile articles; rags (HS code 63) - a decrease of $85,215;
  • Articles of apparel and clothing accessories, knitted or crocheted (HS code 61) - a decrease of $43,390;
  • Vehicles other than railway or tramway rolling stock, and parts and accessories thereof (HS code 87) - a decrease of $10,598.
