Russia’s Trade with Hungary

In the 3rd quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Hungary was $1,138,999,497, down 29.11% ($467,702,592) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s exports to Hungary in the 3rd quarter of 2020 were $657,555,622, down 37.07% ($387,411,040) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s imports from Hungary in the 3rd quarter of 2020 were $481,443,875, down 14.29% ($80,291,552) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s trade surplus with Hungary in the 3rd quarter of 2020 was $176,111,747, a 63.56% decrease ($307,119,488) over the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Hungary was Russia’s 24th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (down from 20th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.8340% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.9686% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Hungary was Russia’s 25th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (down from 23rd in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.8312% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.8981% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Russia’s Exports to Hungary

The major share of Russian exports to Hungary in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 88.76% of Russia’s total exports to Hungary (92.08% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 6.08% of Russia’s total exports to Hungary (6.12% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 3.17% of Russia’s total exports to Hungary (0.56% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).
