Russia’s Trade with Israel

In the 3rd quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Israel totaled $538,622,832, up 8.39% ($41,702,468) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s exports to Israel in the 3rd quarter of 2020 totaled $391,022,310, up 15.47% ($52,398,797) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s imports from Israel in the 3rd quarter of 2020 were $147,600,522, down 6.76% ($10,696,329) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s trade surplus with Israel in the 3rd quarter of 2020 was $243,421,788, a 34.99% increase ($63,095,126) over the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Israel was Russia’s 44th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (up from 51st in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.3944% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.2996% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Israel was Russia’s 39th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (up from 48th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.4971% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.3277% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Israel was Russia’s 51st largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (down from 48th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.2548% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.2531% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Russia’s Exports to Israel

The major share of Russian exports to Israel in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 20.38% of Russia’s total exports to Israel (28.00% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 19.77% of Russia’s total exports to Israel (23.86% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 12.63% of Russia’s total exports to Israel (16.14% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Israel in the 3rd quarter of 2020 over the 3rd quarter of 2019 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Aluminum and articles thereof (HS code 76) - a decrease of $14,894,666;
