Russia’s Trade with Lithuania

In the 3rd quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Lithuania was $703,330,084, down 32.43% ($337,543,843) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s exports to Lithuania in the 3rd quarter of 2020 were $564,597,869, down 37.10% ($333,082,028) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s imports from Lithuania in the 3rd quarter of 2020 were $138,732,215, down 3.12% ($4,461,815) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s trade surplus with Lithuania in the 3rd quarter of 2020 was $425,865,654, a 43.56% decrease ($328,620,213) over the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Lithuania was Russia’s 31st largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (up from 34th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.5150% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.6275% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Lithuania was Russia’s 29th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (down from 27th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.7178% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.8688% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Lithuania was Russia’s 52nd largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (just as in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.2395% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.2289% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Russia’s Exports to Lithuania

The major share of Russian exports to Lithuania in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 49.83% of Russia’s total exports to Lithuania (67.21% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 14.52% of Russia’s total exports to Lithuania (8.64% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 12.46% of Russia’s total exports to Lithuania (6.26% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
