Russia’s Trade with Sudan

In the 3rd quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Sudan was $84,453,005, down 15.08% ($14,997,948) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s exports to Sudan in the 3rd quarter of 2020 were $84,421,311, down 14.70% ($14,547,535) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s imports from Sudan in the 3rd quarter of 2020 were $31,694, down 93.43% ($450,413) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s trade surplus with Sudan in the 3rd quarter of 2020 was $84,389,617, a 14.31% decrease ($14,097,122) over the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Sudan was Russia’s 84th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (down from 83rd in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0618% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0600% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Sudan was Russia’s 69th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (up from 76th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.1073% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0958% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Sudan was Russia’s 160th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (down from 140th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0001% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0008% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Russia’s Exports to Sudan

The major share of Russian exports to Sudan in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 75.94% of Russia’s total exports to Sudan (96.93% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 2.60% of Russia’s total exports to Sudan (0.06% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

The largest gains in Russia’s exports to Sudan in the 3rd quarter of 2020 over the 3rd quarter of 2019 were recorded for the following product groups:
