Russia’s Trade with Tajikistan
In the 3rd quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Tajikistan was $191,461,022, down 22.85% ($56,694,707) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s exports to Tajikistan in the 3rd quarter of 2020 were $183,170,092, down 23.54% ($56,385,175) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s imports from Tajikistan in the 3rd quarter of 2020 were $8,290,930, down 3.60% ($309,532) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s trade surplus with Tajikistan in the 3rd quarter of 2020 was $174,879,162, a 24.28% decrease ($56,075,643) over the 3rd quarter of 2019.
Tajikistan was Russia’s 69th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (down from 68th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.1402% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.1496% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).
Tajikistan was Russia’s 54th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (up from 56th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.2329% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.2319% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).
Tajikistan was Russia’s 100th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (down from 98th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0143% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0138% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).
Russia’s Exports to Tajikistan
The major share of Russian exports to Tajikistan in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:

- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 22.36% of Russia’s total exports to Tajikistan (41.47% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
- Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 15.02% of Russia’s total exports to Tajikistan (10.18% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);

- Products of the milling industry; malt; starches; inulin; wheat gluten (HS code 11) - an increase of $914,905;
- Rubber and articles thereof (HS code 40) - an increase of $650,657;
- Fertilizers (HS code 31) - an increase of $634,623;
- Organic chemicals (HS code 29) - an increase of $581,285.
