Russia’s Trade with the Philippines

In the 3rd quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with the Philippines was $255,650,850, down 8.84% ($24,801,564) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s exports to the Philippines in the 3rd quarter of 2020 were $146,807,960, down 12.31% ($20,599,537) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s imports from the Philippines in the 3rd quarter of 2020 were $108,842,890, down 3.72% ($4,202,027) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s trade surplus with the Philippines in the 3rd quarter of 2020 was $37,965,070, a 30.16% decrease ($16,397,510) over the 3rd quarter of 2019.

The Philippines was Russia’s 64th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (up from 66th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.1872% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.1691% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

The Philippines was Russia’s 60th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (up from 61st in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.1867% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.1620% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

The Philippines was Russia’s 59th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (down from 57th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.1879% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.1807% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Russia’s Exports to the Philippines

The major share of Russian exports to the Philippines in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 62.12% of Russia’s total exports to the Philippines (15.41% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 28.75% of Russia’s total exports to the Philippines (62.03% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 4.03% of Russia’s total exports to the Philippines (4.51% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 3.58% of Russia’s total exports to the Philippines (14.46% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
