Russia’s Trade with Tunisia
In the 3rd quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Tunisia was $76,121,176, down 43.18% ($57,839,487) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s exports to Tunisia in the 3rd quarter of 2020 were $45,013,540, down 52.68% ($50,107,563) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s imports from Tunisia in the 3rd quarter of 2020 were $31,107,636, down 19.91% ($7,731,924) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s trade surplus with Tunisia in the 3rd quarter of 2020 was $13,905,904, a 75.29% decrease ($42,375,639) over the 3rd quarter of 2019.
Tunisia was Russia’s 88th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (down from 78th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0557% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.0808% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).
Tunisia was Russia’s 81st largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (down from 77th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0572% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.0921% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).
Tunisia was Russia’s 78th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (up from 80th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0537% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0621% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).
Russia’s Exports to Tunisia
The major share of Russian exports to Tunisia in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 44.40% of Russia’s total exports to Tunisia (5.21% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 39.53% of Russia’s total exports to Tunisia (18.39% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 10.97% of Russia’s total exports to Tunisia (9.67% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
- Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 4.55% of Russia’s total exports to Tunisia (2.02% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 0.21% of Russia’s total exports to Tunisia (64.58% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

- Pulp of wood or of other fibrous cellulosic material; waste and scrap of paper or paperboard (HS code 47) - an increase of $1,320,647;
- Sugars and sugar confectionery (HS code 17) - an increase of $611,475;
- Iron and steel (HS code 72) - an increase of $446,482;
- Aluminum and articles thereof (HS code 76) - an increase of $254,173.
