Russia’s Trade with Saudi Arabia
In the 4th quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Saudi Arabia was $474,900,900, down 1.28% ($6,152,546) from the 4th quarter of 2019.
Russia’s exports to Saudi Arabia in the 4th quarter of 2020 totaled $411,425,700, up 1.43% ($5,796,717) from the 4th quarter of 2019.
Russia’s imports from Saudi Arabia in the 4th quarter of 2020 were $63,475,200, down 15.84% ($11,949,263) from the 4th quarter of 2019.
Russia’s trade surplus with Saudi Arabia in the 4th quarter of 2020 was $347,950,500, a 5.37% increase ($17,745,980) over the 4th quarter of 2019.
Saudi Arabia was Russia’s 53rd largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2020 (up from 55th in the 4th quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.2930% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.2674% in the 4th quarter of 2019).
Saudi Arabia was Russia’s 43rd largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2020 (up from 46th in the 4th quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.4357% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.3627% in the 4th quarter of 2019).
Saudi Arabia was Russia’s 72nd largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2020 (down from 67th in the 4th quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0939% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.1109% in the 4th quarter of 2019).
Russia’s Exports to Saudi Arabia
The major share of Russian exports to Saudi Arabia in the 4th quarter of 2020 (and in the 4th quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:

- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 42.42% of Russia’s total exports to Saudi Arabia (16.05% in the 4th quarter of 2019);
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 5.11% of Russia’s total exports to Saudi Arabia (0.89% in the 4th quarter of 2019);
- Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 3.02% of Russia’s total exports to Saudi Arabia (16.76% in the 4th quarter of 2019);
