Russia’s Trade with Switzerland
In the 4th quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Switzerland was $1,665,593,055, down 3.55% ($61,294,282) from the 4th quarter of 2019.
Russia’s exports to Switzerland in the 4th quarter of 2020 totaled $781,352,533, up 4.70% ($35,107,059) from the 4th quarter of 2019.
Russia’s imports from Switzerland in the 4th quarter of 2020 were $884,240,522, down 9.83% ($96,401,341) from the 4th quarter of 2019.
Russia’s trade deficit with Switzerland in the 4th quarter of 2020 was $102,887,989, a 56.11% decrease ($131,508,400) over the 4th quarter of 2019.
Switzerland was Russia’s 20th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2020 (up from 21st in the 4th quarter of 2019), accounting for 1.0278% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.9601% in the 4th quarter of 2019).
Switzerland was Russia’s 25th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2020 (up from 33rd in the 4th quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.8275% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.6672% in the 4th quarter of 2019).
Switzerland was Russia’s 18th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2020 (up from 19th in the 4th quarter of 2019), accounting for 1.3074% of Russia’s total imports (down from 1.4415% in the 4th quarter of 2019).
Russia’s Exports to Switzerland
The major share of Russian exports to Switzerland in the 4th quarter of 2020 (and in the 4th quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 51.45% of Russia’s total exports to Switzerland (33.33% in the 4th quarter of 2019);
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 22.76% of Russia’s total exports to Switzerland (49.81% in the 4th quarter of 2019);
- Precious metals and stones (HS code 71) - 17.32% of Russia’s total exports to Switzerland (10.62% in the 4th quarter of 2019);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 5.33% of Russia’s total exports to Switzerland (3.42% in the 4th quarter of 2019);
