Russia’s Trade with Azerbaijan
In the 1st quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Azerbaijan totaled $680,461,221, up 2.97% ($19,647,897) from the 1st quarter of 2020.
Russia’s exports to Azerbaijan in the 1st quarter of 2021 totaled $519,676,484, up 4.18% ($20,864,753) from the 1st quarter of 2020.
Russia’s imports from Azerbaijan in the 1st quarter of 2021 were $160,784,737, down 0.75% ($1,216,856) from the 1st quarter of 2020.
Russia’s trade surplus with Azerbaijan in the 1st quarter of 2021 was $358,891,747, a 6.56% increase ($22,081,609) over the 1st quarter of 2020.
Azerbaijan was Russia’s 39th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2021 (up from 41st in the 1st quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.4403% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.4649% in the 1st quarter of 2020).
Azerbaijan was Russia’s 35th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2021 (just as in the 1st quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.5633% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.5606% in the 1st quarter of 2020).
Azerbaijan was Russia’s 45th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2021 (up from 47th in the 1st quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.2581% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.3048% in the 1st quarter of 2020).
Russia’s Exports to Azerbaijan
The major share of Russian exports to Azerbaijan in the 1st quarter of 2021 (and in the 1st quarter of 2020) was accounted for the following product types:
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 37.54% of Russia’s total exports to Azerbaijan (26.62% in the 1st quarter of 2020);
- Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 21.63% of Russia’s total exports to Azerbaijan (16.66% in the 1st quarter of 2020);
