Russia’s Trade with Indonesia

In the 1st quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Indonesia totaled $702,343,210, up 17.62% ($105,208,424) from the 1st quarter of 2020.

Russia’s exports to Indonesia in the 1st quarter of 2021 were $161,005,231, down 6.22% ($10,671,475) from the 1st quarter of 2020.

Russia’s imports from Indonesia in the 1st quarter of 2021 totaled $541,337,979, up 27.24% ($115,879,899) from the 1st quarter of 2020.

Russia’s trade deficit with Indonesia in the 1st quarter of 2021 was $380,332,748, a 49.87% increase ($126,551,374) over the 1st quarter of 2020.

Indonesia was Russia’s 38th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2021 (up from 43rd in the 1st quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.4544% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.4201% in the 1st quarter of 2020).

Indonesia was Russia’s 58th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2021 (up from 62nd in the 1st quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.1745% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.1929% in the 1st quarter of 2020).

Indonesia was Russia’s 24th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2021 (up from 28th in the 1st quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.8689% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.8004% in the 1st quarter of 2020).

Russia’s Exports to Indonesia

The major share of Russian exports to Indonesia in the 1st quarter of 2021 (and in the 1st quarter of 2020) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 50.16% of Russia’s total exports to Indonesia (6.01% in the 1st quarter of 2020);
  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 31.32% of Russia’s total exports to Indonesia (30.78% in the 1st quarter of 2020);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 11.05% of Russia’s total exports to Indonesia (39.64% in the 1st quarter of 2020);
