Russia’s Trade with Kazakhstan

In the 1st quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Kazakhstan totaled $5,132,881,250, up 20.74% ($881,791,209) from the 1st quarter of 2020.

Russia’s exports to Kazakhstan in the 1st quarter of 2021 totaled $3,713,889,302, up 17.56% ($554,860,948) from the 1st quarter of 2020.

Russia’s imports from Kazakhstan in the 1st quarter of 2021 totaled $1,418,991,948, up 29.94% ($326,930,261) from the 1st quarter of 2020.

Russia’s trade surplus with Kazakhstan in the 1st quarter of 2021 was $2,294,897,354, a 11.03% increase ($227,930,687) over the 1st quarter of 2020.

Kazakhstan was Russia’s 9th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2021 (up from 10th in the 1st quarter of 2020), accounting for 3.3211% of Russia’s total trade (up from 2.9908% in the 1st quarter of 2020).

Kazakhstan was Russia’s 7th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2021 (up from 9th in the 1st quarter of 2020), accounting for 4.0256% of Russia’s total exports (up from 3.5502% in the 1st quarter of 2020).

Kazakhstan was Russia’s 9th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2021 (up from 11th in the 1st quarter of 2020), accounting for 2.2777% of Russia’s total imports (up from 2.0544% in the 1st quarter of 2020).

Russia’s Exports to Kazakhstan

The major share of Russian exports to Kazakhstan in the 1st quarter of 2021 (and in the 1st quarter of 2020) was accounted for the following product types:
