Russia’s Trade with Malaysia
In the 1st quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Malaysia was $609,781,341, down 21.70% ($168,985,907) from the 1st quarter of 2020.
Russia’s exports to Malaysia in the 1st quarter of 2021 were $237,510,398, down 40.65% ($162,687,346) from the 1st quarter of 2020.
Russia’s imports from Malaysia in the 1st quarter of 2021 were $372,270,943, down 1.66% ($6,298,561) from the 1st quarter of 2020.
Russia’s trade balance with Malaysia went from a surplus of $21,628,240 in the 1st quarter of 2020, to a deficit of $134,760,545 in the 1st quarter of 2021.
Malaysia was Russia’s 41st largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2021 (down from 35th in the 1st quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.3945% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.5479% in the 1st quarter of 2020).
Malaysia was Russia’s 51st largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2021 (down from 40th in the 1st quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.2574% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.4498% in the 1st quarter of 2020).
Malaysia was Russia’s 32nd largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2021 (down from 30th in the 1st quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.5976% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.7122% in the 1st quarter of 2020).
Russia’s Exports to Malaysia
The major share of Russian exports to Malaysia in the 1st quarter of 2021 (and in the 1st quarter of 2020) was accounted for the following product types:
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 78.75% of Russia’s total exports to Malaysia (82.05% in the 1st quarter of 2020);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 11.12% of Russia’s total exports to Malaysia (3.16% in the 1st quarter of 2020);
