Russia’s Trade with Saudi Arabia
In the 1st quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Saudi Arabia was $297,687,032, down 6.87% ($21,974,401) from the 1st quarter of 2020.
Russia’s exports to Saudi Arabia in the 1st quarter of 2021 were $242,114,131, down 10.32% ($27,847,139) from the 1st quarter of 2020.
Russia’s imports from Saudi Arabia in the 1st quarter of 2021 totaled $55,572,901, up 11.82% ($5,872,738) from the 1st quarter of 2020.
Russia’s trade surplus with Saudi Arabia in the 1st quarter of 2021 was $186,541,230, a 15.31% decrease ($33,719,877) over the 1st quarter of 2020.
Saudi Arabia was Russia’s 59th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2021 (just as in the 1st quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.1926% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.2249% in the 1st quarter of 2020).
Saudi Arabia was Russia’s 49th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2021 (up from 50th in the 1st quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.2624% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.3034% in the 1st quarter of 2020).
Saudi Arabia was Russia’s 72nd largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2021 (just as in the 1st quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.0892% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0935% in the 1st quarter of 2020).

The major share of Russian exports to Saudi Arabia in the 1st quarter of 2021 (and in the 1st quarter of 2020) was accounted for the following product types:

- Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 4.09% of Russia’s total exports to Saudi Arabia (6.74% in the 1st quarter of 2020);
