Russia’s Trade with Tanzania

In the 1st quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Tanzania was $39,541,971, down 5.19% ($2,165,200) from the 1st quarter of 2020.

Russia’s exports to Tanzania in the 1st quarter of 2021 were $29,571,169, down 22.28% ($8,477,920) from the 1st quarter of 2020.

Russia’s imports from Tanzania in the 1st quarter of 2021 totaled $9,970,802, up 172.57% ($6,312,720) from the 1st quarter of 2020.

Russia’s trade surplus with Tanzania in the 1st quarter of 2021 was $19,600,367, a 43.01% decrease ($14,790,640) over the 1st quarter of 2020.

  • Inorganic chemicals; organic or inorganic compounds of precious metals, of rare-earth metals,of radioactive elements or of isotopes (HS code 28) - an increase of $172,576;
  • Miscellaneous edible preparations (HS code 21) - an increase of $128,843;
  • Salt; sulfur; earths and stone; plastering materials, lime and cement (HS code 25) - an increase of $92,846.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Tanzania in the 1st quarter of 2021 over the 1st quarter of 2020 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Cereals (HS code 10) - a decrease of $19,639,316;
  • Paper and paperboard; articles of paper pulp, of paper or of paperboard (HS code 48) - a decrease of $986,224.
