Russia’s Trade with Trinidad and Tobago

In the 1st quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Trinidad and Tobago was $1,055,267, down 88.17% ($7,864,407) from the 1st quarter of 2020.

Russia’s exports to Trinidad and Tobago in the 1st quarter of 2021 were $972,697, down 88.96% ($7,834,188) from the 1st quarter of 2020.

Russia’s imports from Trinidad and Tobago in the 1st quarter of 2021 were $82,570, down 26.79% ($30,219) from the 1st quarter of 2020.

Russia’s trade surplus with Trinidad and Tobago in the 1st quarter of 2021 was $890,127, a 89.76% decrease ($7,803,969) over the 1st quarter of 2020.

Trinidad and Tobago was Russia’s 166th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2021 (down from 132nd in the 1st quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.0007% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.0063% in the 1st quarter of 2020).

Trinidad and Tobago was Russia’s 156th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2021 (down from 118th in the 1st quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.0011% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.0099% in the 1st quarter of 2020).

Trinidad and Tobago was Russia’s 149th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2021 (just as in the 1st quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.0001% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0002% in the 1st quarter of 2020).

  • Ceramic products (HS code 69) - an increase of $9,358.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Trinidad and Tobago in the 1st quarter of 2021 over the 1st quarter of 2020 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Ores, slag and ash (HS code 26) - a decrease of $8,441,716;
  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $71,615;
  • Wood and articles of wood; wood charcoal (HS code 44) - a decrease of $64,550;
  • Edible vegetables and certain roots and tubers (HS code 07) - a decrease of $43,745;
  • Paper and paperboard; articles of paper pulp, of paper or of paperboard (HS code 48) - a decrease of $5,224.

  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 4.63% of Russia’s total imports from Trinidad and Tobago (0.00% in the 1st quarter of 2020).

The largest gains in Russia’s imports from Trinidad and Tobago in the 1st quarter of 2021 over the 1st quarter of 2020 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Articles of iron or steel (HS code 73) - an increase of $3,824;
