Russia’s Trade with Greece

In the 2nd quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Greece totaled $1,029,866,713, up 140.96% ($602,457,487) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s exports to Greece in the 2nd quarter of 2021 totaled $960,444,425, up 158.49% ($588,882,674) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s imports from Greece in the 2nd quarter of 2021 totaled $69,422,288, up 24.31% ($13,574,813) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s trade surplus with Greece in the 2nd quarter of 2021 was $891,022,137, a 182.22% increase ($575,307,861) over the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Greece was Russia’s 36th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (up from 47th in the 2nd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.5442% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.3503% in the 2nd quarter of 2020).

Greece was Russia’s 28th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (up from 41st in the 2nd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.8350% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.5314% in the 2nd quarter of 2020).

Greece was Russia’s 70th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (down from 69th in the 2nd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.0935% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.1072% in the 2nd quarter of 2020).

Russia’s Exports to Greece

The major share of Russian exports to Greece in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2020) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 89.90% of Russia’s total exports to Greece (83.31% in the 2nd quarter of 2020);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 5.36% of Russia’s total exports to Greece (10.59% in the 2nd quarter of 2020);
