Russia’s Trade with Ireland

In the 2nd quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Ireland totaled $578,471,675, up 10.02% ($52,694,175) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s exports to Ireland in the 2nd quarter of 2021 totaled $87,650,823, up 7.41% ($6,045,263) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s imports from Ireland in the 2nd quarter of 2021 totaled $490,820,852, up 10.50% ($46,648,912) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s trade deficit with Ireland in the 2nd quarter of 2021 was $403,170,029, a 11.20% increase ($40,603,649) over the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Ireland was Russia’s 51st largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (down from 40th in the 2nd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.3057% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.4309% in the 2nd quarter of 2020).

Ireland was Russia’s 76th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (down from 69th in the 2nd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.0762% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.1167% in the 2nd quarter of 2020).

Ireland was Russia’s 29th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (down from 25th in the 2nd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.6613% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.8527% in the 2nd quarter of 2020).

Russia’s Exports to Ireland

The major share of Russian exports to Ireland in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2020) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 64.24% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (63.11% in the 2nd quarter of 2020);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 21.82% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (30.62% in the 2nd quarter of 2020);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 4.75% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (1.86% in the 2nd quarter of 2020);
